I Lost my boots in a burnt out town

my possessions, locked in a hotel

i wish my house

id sell it for a reduced price
and you could not return it

nobody would burn it
a cappuccino would be nice
i guess ill have to yearn it
the grease poured off, as smoke it went up
like the steam lifting off of my cup
something eerie, just a little lost pup
i felt shame, when all the heads turned
knowing full well the heads' unconcerned
often actions are better than words
